Forensic Assessment Specialist
HOPE Program is a distinguished forensic mental health clinic specializing in the rehabilitation of individuals who have encountered the legal system due to sexual offenses. Certified by the California Sex Offender Management Board (CASOMB), we employ cutting-edge research to provide services that mitigate the risk of reoffending while enhancing public safety.
Our mission is to deliver effective, confidential treatment within a non-judgmental and supportive environment, facilitating transformation and preventing future victimization. HOPE Program tailors its services to a diverse clientele, including adult male and female offenders, developmentally delayed individuals, mentally disordered offenders, sexually abusive adolescents, and a Chaperone Training Program.
Responsibilities and Duties

Conducts full clinical/psychosocial assessments (e.g. CITPs, Interims) for all client types, reviews and updates prior assessments, and develops initial treatment plans for client’s treatment, admitting to treatment, or transferring between programs.

Uses relevant clinical skills including administering assessment tools, performing interviews, gathering sensitive information, performing diagnostic interviews,

maintaining rapport, writing assessment information according to protocols, and communicating with relevant parties (e.g., Feds, CDCR, SD Probation, CONREP, etc.).

Uses assessment information to refer clients to the appropriate services within the organization.

Completes admissions and program documentation responsibilities promptly including administrative work relevant to helping clients enter treatment.

Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with community agencies that could positively impact community opportunities for clients.

To participate in agency clinical meetings, team meetings, and staff meetings as well as participate in in-service training.
Qualifications

Doctorate Degree in Psychology or related field

Minimum of 3 years experience in the clinical setting

Licensed with Board of Psychology

Qualified applicants for this position must possess the following attributes:
